How do I top up my Metro card with my Extraordinary account?

You can top up your Metro Card online at Metro, in person at customer service points or retailers using your Extraordinary card.


Online Top-Up
  1. Visit the website:  
    Go to the relevant transport authority's website (e.g., Metro Christchurch, Metro Timaru).
  2. Login or register:  
    Log in to your online account or register your Metrocard to access the top-up function.
  3. Select card and amount:  
    Choose your Metrocard and enter the amount you wish to top up.
  4. Complete payment:  
    Follow the prompts to complete the transaction using your Extraordinary card.  
     
In-Person Top-Up
  1. Locate a top-up point: Find a physical location like the Christchurch Bus Interchange, the Timaru Information Centre, or council customer service centres.
  2. Request a top-up: At the location, inform the staff you want to add funds to your Metrocard.
  3. Pay the amount: Provide your Extraordinary card for payment for the desired top-up amount.
